BY LAND
There are several options that you can use to reach San Felipe, Baja California. The most popular one is to use the Mexicali-San Felipe Federal Highway No. 5. It offers us a magnificent view of the crops from the Mexicali Valley, the meander of the Rio Hardy (Hardy River), the majesty of the dessert of the Laguna Salada (Salty Lagoon), and the impressive vision of the Sierra de San Pedro Martir (San Pedro Martir Mountain) with the colossus of “Picacho del Diablo” (“Devil’s Peak”) that is the highest elevation on the Baja California Peninsula.
The other one is the access offered via the Tijuana border with San Diego, CA on Federal Highway No. 1 known as the Trans-Peninsular that connects us with Ensenada. We get the gift of the blue beauty from the waters of the Mexican Pacific. Once in Ensenada, you continue on the Federal Highway No. 3 that goes across the fertile Valle de la Trinidad (Trinity Valley), and finally to make out and arrive to the incredibly beautiful waters of the Sea of Cortez in the junction of “El Chinero” (“The Chinese”) with the Highway to San Felipe.
