
GOLF
There is currently in operation a beautiful golf course with an ocean view called "Las Caras de Mexico" ("The Faces of Mexico") located in the "Ventana del Mar" ("Window to the Sea") tourist development. The company Ranchos Epoca de Oro (Golden Era Ranch) is the owner.
It has 18 championship holes, club house, etc. It also has an important calendar of events highlighting the ones carried out for the benefit of institutions dedicated to the attention of children such as the already traditional Tournament of "Celebridades" ("Celebrities") that is positioning as one of the most popular in the State.
The Diamante Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus is currently under construction in San Felipe. It is located in the property of the company San Felipe Marina Resort & Spa. This course will have18 championship holes and will offer all the features of the best Golf Courses in the Continent.
NIGHT LIFE
It is a lot of fun for the youth sector because they can find Disco music and Dance halls that are very popular among the youth. You will also find Tourist Camps that offer live Country music for adults as well as artistic presentations, dance contests, and Karaoke.
OFF-ROAD RACES
San Felipe is considered one of the most popular strategic places to carry out the most important Off-Road Races in both the American and Mexican series. We receive International type events such as the Tecate Score San Felipe 250 Race, the Mc. Millan 500, the Baja 1000, the Ensenada-Mexicali-San Felipe Race Ready 275 from CODE, the Ensenada San Felipe 250 Race Ready from RECORD, the Off-Road Poker Runs from Pete's Camp and from the Percebu Lagoon, the famous Motorcycle and Cuadra tracks, and the Bicycle Cross Country organized mainly by the Mexicali Clubs. Due to this and to the events developed in Mexicali, it is known as the Local Government Capital of the Off-Road Races.
There is also the world famous Jeep Jamboree event organized every year by the Jeep Jamboree of the USA.
SAN FELIPE BEACHES
The beaches and the Totoaba fishing made San Felipe famous. Just alone in the bay there are 11 miles of golden sand that start in Punta El Marchorro to the north up to Punta Estrella to the south end of the bay. From there on, passing by Punta Diggs and Percebu up to Puertecitos that is located 43 miles south, there are virgin beaches with no stones or rocky accidents. Even though the majority of them are private property, they are virgin and without any buildings so you can fully enjoy them.
CAMPS
As a matter of fact, there are 45 Tourist Camps starting 15 miles north of San Felipe from Cerro del Moreno (Moreno's Hill), and finishing south in the town of Puertecitos that is a settling 43 miles south of our City. The ones located north and in our bay have the full hook-up services that are able to receive modern motor home camper units, but the majority have the basic bower services, sweet waters, and restroom only for camping tents.
SHOPPING
There is a range of businesses that are the delight of the souvenir shoppers such as country furnishing made of wood, leather and metal, traditional clothes from different parts of our country, and different crafts among the ones that stand out are shells, wooden figures, paintings made out of “amate” bark paper, pottery, silver jewellery made of alpaca, sports "T" shirts with screen printing, hats, caps, etc.
